Credit Markets - Where They Stand and the Diversity of Debt Available
NOTE: This will be an online Zoom event.
The Covid pandemic has created chaos in the credit markets. Aaron Swanson and Grant Daunheimer of Diamond Willow Advisory will educate you on the current state of the Canadian lending market.
The presentation will enlighten you about the plethora of private lending options outside conventional banks. These can be an excellent source of capital for your clients. They will finish up with a short education on what lenders look for and how to best prepare your clients to approach capital providers.
Our Speakers
Aaron Swanson, CFA, has over a decade of capital markets experience on his shoulders, with the most recent venture leading the Calgary office of a top tier U.S. based investment dealer. Despite a passion towards corporate strategy and capital structure, Aaron has a not-so-secret love of numbers. He took home the honour of being the top earnings estimator for all public equities analysts across Canada in 2019. His colleagues knew Aaron would come back to his entrepreneurial roots because he is quick to remind us that he put himself through university with an owned-and-operated landscaping company.
Grant Daunheimer, CFA, ground out 16 years in Equity Capital Markets as a Research Analyst covering the small to mid-cap sector of the Canadian upstream oil and gas space. He decided to shift gears and enter the private debt and equity world. Grant founded Diamond Willow in August 2018 with the goal of bringing a differentiated level of financial service to the small business sector. Grant is an enthusiastic leader at Diamond Willow and loves interacting with entrepreneurs who carry similar enthusiasm for their business.
