Essential Pieces of an Estate Plan – The Complexities

Estate planning is not just having a will and an RRSP.  Clients are relying on financial tools that are getting more complex and rely on CPAs to understand the taxation behind their choices.

Tax consequences of death and the ultimate double tax impact many Canadian business owners face.  Through interactive discussion and case studies, Jos will explore the challenges many business owners face, and the complexities involved with tax distribution planning.

Our clients are looking to CPAs to provide guidance in much of the tax and estate planning world that is ever changing.  Jos will explore the use of financial tools at their disposal using the Income Tax Act and complimenting the plan with solutions that are misunderstood in the marketplace, such as trusts, insurance, shareholder agreements, and beneficiary designations. She will share some interesting case law in the estate planning world. Not to be missed.
