In our time together we will take you through how our unique competency-based development and design process, emphasizing deep collaboration with employers, authentic assessment methods, and rich learning experiences, allows us to align training with the dynamic demands of the professional landscape.
Suhayl Patel, the Associate Dean at Bow Valley College’s Centre for Academic Innovation, is an educational leader specializing in workforce development and training. He spearheads competency-based programs and micro-credentials in collaboration with employers and industries.
Passionate about empowering individuals with relevant skills, Suhayl believes in driving economic growth and innovation by cultivating a skilled workforce. His commitment aims to ensure a prosperous future for individuals and society at large.
With a background in mathematics and educational technology, Suhayl previously held roles as a Development Executive at Apple and a Senior Education Specialist with the Calgary Board of Education.
Bart Chudleigh is the Associate Director, Industry Solutions.
Bart has more than 10 years of previous industry experience with Forzani Group Limited, Parmalat Canada, and McCain Foods, where he held sales and marketing roles in Western Canada.
Bart has worked at the Chiu School of Business (BVC) for over 10 years where he taught Marketing, Management and Entrepreneurship while also being a Program Chair. Associate Director, Industry Solutions role allows Bart to use his previous experiences in industry and teaching to help provide value for our students and partnership community.
